Born in Hong Kong, the 15-year-old Pakistan boy finds the place more like home than Pakistan.
“I think I am more of a Hongkonger,” said Sunny. “My friends are mostly Chinese. I know some friends from Pakistan, but most of them are just relatives.”
Apart from that, he also thinks that others treat him as local. “People would know I was born in Hong Kong since I know how to speak Cantonese,” he said.
Enjoying his social circle in Hong Kong, the Pakistan boy has no intention of going back to his family’s home country.
“It’s much safer in Hong Kong,” he said. “You can go out anytime you like. Unlike inPakistan, you have a greater freedom in Hong Kong.”
He plans to develop his career in Hong Kong. “I want to be a businessman,” he said. “Businessmen often communicate through phones, it will be fine as long as I know how to speak Cantonese,” the boy said with confidence.
